Course Overview:

Onyx AFP-3030 training is for fire technicians looking to learn about Notifier’s addressable panels and advanced features. Installers, testers and service technicians will find this most useful as the course gives an understanding of panel functions, harware configurations, fault finding and advanced programming.

Training Duration:

  • 2 days: 7.30am – 4.30pm

 

Cost:

  • $330 (ex GST) per person for 2-day training

 

Prerequisites:

  • Understanding of fire systems
  • Basic Computer literacy
  • Laptop required

 

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of the course, trainees will be able to:

Day 1

  • Understand and Operate the Fire Brigade Panel Interface and Events and Disabling
  • Navigate through the AFP-3030 menu structure
  • Define AFP-3030 system components
  • Identify System and ASC devices
  • Understand Notifier detector and module functions
  • Perform Basic Panel and Point Programming and Auto Programming
  • Interpret, diagnose and resolve faults
  • Perform Test Functions

Day 2

  • Introduction to VerifireTools Utility
  • Creating, Opening, Versioning Projects in VerifireTools
  • Perform upload and download of project databases – Locally and over Network
  • Downloading Maintenance Reports
  • Using VerifireTools for Diagnostics, Simulator and Compare Databases
  • Understand the principles of BOOLEAN logic and CBE Logic Equations
  • Understand General Zones, Logic Zones, Fault Zones and Special Zones
  • Write AFP-3030 scripts and special scripts
  • Program Addressable Detectors and Modules
  • Program ASC Points and Smoke Control
  • Program across nodes with script logic – Using NCA-2AU

 

Instructional Method:

This course is delivered as a group instruction, PowerPoint presentation and practical demonstration. Students will have access to AFP-3030 panels and field devices during the practical exercises. They will be provided with Notifier documentation and a Magni-Fire USB and Upload/Download cable.
